Monkfish Avocado Sandwich
It's an ugly fish. But don't be fooled. It is incredibly tasty.
This tasty, creamy but fresh sandwich is quickly made and super tasty on a budget.
Ingredients
- 1 Lime
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 Monkfish filet
- 1 Brioche roll or whatever roll you have
- 1-2 tbsp Mayo (we use Kewpie for the delicious taste)
- 2 cloves Garlic whole
- 1 tsp White pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 leafs Lettuce
- 1 Avocado
Instructions
-
Salt the fish on both sides and let it rest for 3-4 minutes. Then Cut the brioche bun in two halves. Chop up the avocado and the lettuce.
Heat a pan with 1 tbsp of butter and fry your bread for a few minutes on both sides on high heat in the butter.
-
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in another frying pan and add 2 peeled garlic cloves and the monkfish and fry on high heat on each side for 2-3 minutes. Dont move the fish while it is frying to ensure a nice crust.
-
Add 2 tbsp of butter, white pepper and the juice of half a lime to the pan and braise the fish and let it bubble for another 2-3 minutes.
-
Cut the fish into slices. Then add a thin layer of mayo to both pieces of the roll. Now add lettuce, avocado and the fish and squeeze the other half of the lime over it.
Enjoy 😉
